SMS activation services
To register a WhatsApp account you need a phone number that will receive the SMS. You can use your own SIM cards or use SMS activation services.
Services may be blocked in Russia for your network — use an alternative network for access.

- Don't top up SMS services for large amounts up front — while testing the program.

sms-activate.ru — check the site for the terms of access to numbers for WhatsApp; RU numbers won't be issued without a request to the SMS service support. dropsms.ru — some numbers use activation by call. See on the service which numbers use SMS activation and which use call activation. For call activation to work correctly, in the auto-registration settings you need to set "Tap Call me" = 1 so a call comes in and the service sends the code. And enable the checkbox "Don't end registration if SMS could not be sent". It's also worth increasing "Max SMS wait time" to at least 3 min (= 180000).
