Chat history disappears during a broadcast

The other cause is the emulator returning a broken message database. Delivery is not affected — the sent messages did go out, they were simply not saved in the history.
If you manually open WhatsApp during a broadcast, this will interfere with message insertion and may cause an error while working with the WhatsApp database, which leads to chat history being deleted.
Chat history can also be cleared if the emulator returns a corrupted message database. This is not critical because sent messages are still sent — they're just not saved in the history.
